IPIA
Business PlanThe Institute of Public and International Affairs (IPIA) was established in June 2005 as an institute in the College of Social and Behavioral Science. Although IPIA is still in its infancy, we have a clear vision for its future and know how to achieve it. This Business Plan presents that vision and the strategies, long range goals and financial plans, short term objectives, accomplishments, and the building blocks that are already in place. The Business Plan thus starts with the vision of “what might be” and works back through ambitious long range goals, strategies, and financial needs and funding strategies. It concludes with an inventory of recent accomplishments, current activities and commitments, and objectives that provide the focus, the solid foundation, and the momentum for turning the vision into reality.
I. Vision and Organizational Plan: The reasons why we created and are building IPIA: the vision, mission, scope, and purposes; and the organization design.
II. Strategic Plan: Long range goals and strategies.
III. Long Range Financial Plan: Long range financial needs, funding strategies, and most likely sources of funds.
IV. Report of 2006-07 Achievements: The programs, activities, progress, and commitments that have been made or are in-place and on-going. These represent the “foundation” already in place for building long range excellence.
V. 2007-08 Operating Plan: To be accomplished this year.
